Conditions

Terms and conditions

The most important agreements at a glance.

1. General provisions

  • 1.1  Every participant is a member of the tennis club where the lessons take place.
  • 1.2  NextGen Tennis is not responsible for obtaining membership of the club in question.
  • 1.3  Registration for tennis lessons is only possible by completing and submitting the registration form on the official NextGen Tennis website.
  • 1.4  By submitting the registration form, the participant enters into an agreement with NextGen Tennis for the full duration of the season: from April up to and including October (summer) or from October up to and including March (winter).
  • 1.5  Participants provide their own suitable clothing, shoes and tennis racket. Only during the Maak Kennis Met Tennis lessons does NextGen Tennis provide rackets. NextGen Tennis provides the tennis balls.

2. Groups and scheduling

  • 2.1  The group arrangement is determined by NextGen Tennis.
  • 2.2  The lesson price depends on the group size. If the final group size differs by more than one person from the information provided in advance, we will contact the participant concerned.
  • 2.3  A different rate applies to Maak Kennis Met Tennis groups.
  • 2.4  The definitive schedule is announced no later than one week before the training sessions start.

3. Lessons and cancelled lessons

  • 3.1  If a lesson is cancelled, the coach communicates this directly via the designated group app.
  • 3.2  If a participant is unable to attend, they inform the coach. The missed lesson remains, whatever the reason, at the participant's expense. This also applies to the first lesson of the series.
  • 3.3  Unless communicated otherwise, the lesson always goes ahead.
  • 3.4  No refunds are given in the event of illness or short-term injury.
  • 3.5  In the event of relocation or a long-term injury, evidenced by a doctor's statement, a refund is only granted if the vacated place is taken over by another paying participant.
  • 3.6  If a lesson is cancelled due to the absence of the coach, a replacement coach will be arranged where possible, or an alternative lesson date will be set.
  • 3.7  If a lesson cannot go ahead due to weather conditions or national government regulations (for example during a pandemic), the first cancelled lesson is at the participant's expense, the second at the tennis school's expense, the third at the participant's expense again, and so on. In the summer season a maximum of three make-up lessons applies, in the winter season a maximum of four. Make-up lessons take place during the stated make-up period, in school holidays or at the end of the season.
  • 3.8  A lesson that has started and is then interrupted for whatever reason counts as a lesson given. If a practical lesson is cancelled due to unworkable weather or an unplayable court, the coach may give an alternative lesson during the same lesson hour. A practical lesson replaced in this way is not made up.

4. Damage and liability

  • 4.1  NextGen Tennis is not liable for accidents or injuries during the lessons, unless there is demonstrable serious negligence on the part of the coach.
  • 4.2  NextGen Tennis is not liable for damage to, theft of or loss of participants' property.

5. Payment

  • 5.1  The lesson fee is paid before the start of the lesson period. On registration the participant provides a SEPA mandate, allowing NextGen Tennis to collect the lesson fee by direct debit from the account provided. The participant always receives an explanatory email about this in advance. If a collection fails or direct debit is not possible, a payment request will follow.
  • 5.2  With the registration, the participant enters into an agreement with NextGen Tennis, subject to placement in a group. The payment obligation arises from the moment of placement.

6. Other provisions

  • 6.1  In situations not covered by these terms and conditions, NextGen Tennis will make a reasonable decision.
  • 6.2  NextGen Tennis may amend these terms. The current version is always available on this website.
